Cady's First Haircut

Cadybug's hair was getting a little "raggedy" if you will.  I have been thinking of having her hair cut but could not bring myself to get it done.  This morning I woke up and decided that something had to be done to her hot mess.  :)  I took her to Jellybeans and Matt met us there.  Sweet little girl hated every minute of the experience (cried and screamed, as she held on to her "yah-yah" and "pappies").  However, they did a great job and she looks much "neater."  Here are some pics of the experience.  Unfortunately I didn't capture the best pics b/c it was hard to try to keep her happy as well as snap away.

Look at that long hair!

Smiling momentarily as the boy beside her tries to make her laugh.

And she's back to tears.

The finished product.  You can't tell, but it looks really good!

A little happier, snotty and in daddy's arms.

In the car after her traumatic experience...happy b/c she has a balloon, jellybeans and the backyardigans to watch on her dvd player.

Poopin' and Pukin'

The title of this blog is gross, but oh so true.  For the past 6 days the Ivester household has been full of poop and puke.  On Thursday afternoon I went in to get Cadence from her nap and she had thrown up all over her crib and all over herself.  She was absolutely pitiful.  She had never thrown up prior to this so she was really confused about it all.  For the rest of the afternoon and evening she threw up and had diarrhea.  We called the doc and he called her in some Zofran-which was a lifesaver.  On Friday morning I took her to the doctor and he told me that she had a really bad case of a GI bug that was going around.  So, all we could do was wait it out, give her plenty of fluids and love her up.

Saturday, I woke up feeling not so well.  It (meaning what is in the title of this blog) did not hit until 3:15 pm.  I then knew this was a horribly contagious bug.  Matt took on the role as mom/dad and I stayed in the bed all day and night (he slept in the guest bedroom).  Meanwhile, Cadence still was throwing up and having diarrhea.

Sunday morning I woke up to a text from Matt saying he wasn't feeling so well.  Oh goodness here we go!!!  I went to get him some meds, but before I went downstairs I went to get Cady out of her bed b/c she was crying.  I walked in and she had thrown up all over her crib and had diarrhea all over herself.  I then proceeded to cry.  I was worn slap out, still felt horrible and sick and now I had a husband to care for and a baby who still needed me.  What did I do?  I called my sweet mommy.  I definitely hesitated b/c I didn't want to get her sick, but I had no other options.  So, sweet mommy came over (she was watching Brie for the weekend and daddy was at church, so sweet Aunt Jane went over to mom's to keep Brie).

My awesome mommy stayed alllll day Sunday and cared for us, not worrying about herself any.  Monday, I woke up feeling better but still really tired and not 100%.  Matt still had a fever and felt horrible.  Cady still was sick to her stomach (both ways) and running a fever.  Mom came over again to help out some since I was still sick feeling.

Today, Matt and I are feeling almost 100% (still tired), but Cadybug still has a fever.  She has not thrown up or had diarrhea any today and I am praying we go to bed with her being free from that today.  I can't believe she has been sick for 6 days straight with this awful bug.  And poor mommy...I called her today and she is now poopin' and pukin'.  I'm telling you, if this bug were a person I would literally grab it by the neck, choke it and kill it.  It has hurt my family so much and I am MAD!  I am praying mommy feels better SOON and that my Cadybug gets better soon.  Watching her be this sick has absolutely broken my heart.

A Taste of Spring

The first day we had a taste of Spring, Matt and I took Cadence to our neighborhood park to play.  She absolutely loves to be outside these days and I have so much fun watching her run around and play.  She loves to swing, ride in her cozy coupe car, play with her toy golf set, slide, run, etc.  Here are a few pics of our afternoon at the park.

She loves to blow kisses!

Our February Snow!!!

We had so much fun in our snow.  Despite Cadence falling a lot and saying "please" to get help back up, her fall down the front porch and bleeding, she still had a great time!  :)  Here are some pics of our fun couple of days in the snow.

Bubbles!

Cady's new favorite word and thing is BUBBLES!!!  She will see them in the bathtub and yell, "bubbles!"  Matt and I thought she needed some bubbles of her own, so I picked up a bubble machine for her at Target.  We had some fun on our back deck one evening after Matt came home from work blowing some bubbles.  Here are some pics of Cadence chasing, licking and loving her bubbles.

Playing with Photoshop

I recently got photoshop and I am loving it.  It is very confusing and will take me a long time to figure some things out, but I am having fun.  Here are a few pics I have been playing around with.  Again, I have a lot to learn, but I am having a blast.  I thought I'd share.  :)
